Shibarium Documents Completed, but Delay Persists: What's Causing the Hold-up for Shiba Inu?

Bombolo | News and Media

Shibarium is a new platform being developed for the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency community, which allows users to engage in a range of activities such as NFT creation and trading, staking, and more. The platform has been eagerly awaited by SHIB enthusiasts and is indeed a significant milestone for the project. It is being led by Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, who has been instrumental in the development of the platform.

The Shibarium, Shiba Inu's (SHIB) layer-2 network, was launched on 17 August 2023. A recent message posted on Shibarium's Telegram channel announced the completion of the official documentation for the upcoming network. The message also hinted at the team's desire to release additional features beyond just documentation. The developers are currently testing the system to ensure everything is running smoothly, causing a slight delay in the launch.

Once the documentation is published, supporters of SHIB will have the opportunity to set up test nodes. The documents will contain information on Shibarium's gas operability, validators, delegators, and overall operations. Shibarium is expected to enhance transaction speeds and reduce costs. In addition, Shiba Inu tokens will be burned with every transfer made through Shibarium, according to Shytoshi Kusama.

The launch of Shibarium will also mark the creation of SHIB's own network, removing its dependence on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. This will result in SHIB no longer being an ERC-20 token.

. Why Shiba Inu crypto faced Delay in the early days in Progress?

Shibarium network has experienced several delays over the past year, causing some to wonder if its launch will be postponed yet again. The release of the documents for Shiba Inu's Shibarium network has been delayed by technical difficulties within the project, despite being originally scheduled for release a year ago. This delay has caused some frustration within the community, who have become accustomed to hearing the phrase "very soon." However, since the launch of the testnet on March 11, it seems that the final launch may be drawing near.

Despite this progress, the testnet launch encountered some unexpected obstacles. The Shibarium project faced accusations of code theft from Rinia, as they both shared the same Chain ID. However, the developer of Rinia's testnet has since clarified that the Shibarium team did not steal any code, as his code is open-source. Instead, the developer's only complaint was that Shibarium continued to use the same Chain ID, which had been named in honor of his deceased grandmother.
